The youngest of three, Livia was a bundle of energy from the moment she took her first breath. Her parents, marine biologists, spent their lives studying and protecting the very ocean that would become Livia's playground.

From the age of four, Livia was/chasing waves, first on a boogie board, then on a surfboard her father carved from locally sourced wood. The ocean was her refuge, her classroom, her best friend. She learned to ride waves before she learned to ride a bike. By the time she was a teenager, Livia was already turning heads at local surf competitions, her tanned skin, toned muscles, and effortless style on the water a testament to her natural talent.

The Rise of a Champion

Livia's first major win came at the age of 16, when she took home the trophy at the Nicaragua National Surfing Championships. The following year, she represented her country at the ISA World Surfing Games in Costa Rica, placing an impressive 7th in the Open Women's division. This was just the beginning of a storied career filled with victories and personal bests.

At 18, Livia moved to Hawaii to train with some of the world's best surfers. She spent countless hours in the water, pushing herself to the limit, and honing her skills on the legendary waves of Oahu's North Shore. Her hard work paid off when, at 19, she became the youngest winner of the prestigious Billabong Pro in memoria ad Jeff Hakman.

Over the next decade, Livia continued to dominate the competitive surf scene. She won the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour five times, earning herself the nickname "La Reina de las Olas" (The Queen of the Waves). Her list of achievements is as long as her shapely legs: three times winner of the Pipeline Women's Pro, four times winner of the Roxy Pro France, and the first woman to land a perfect 10-point ride at the Banzai Pipeline.
